Some pantheists (including myself) designate “the universe” with the label “god”; in effect making the terms synonymous for all practical purposes.

physicalism Matter and its motions as constitutes the universe and all phenomena. Including the phenomena of the mind being due to material agencies. Aka mechanistic materialism, as distinguished from logical positivism’s physicalism

monism There is only one basic substance as the ground of reality. In conjunction with SciPan’s mechanistic materialism, that substance being energy (in the physics sense). Matter being but one form of energy.

skepticism Via logical positivism’s physicalism, statements of fact being held to be meaningful only if they have verifiable consequences in experience, or in statements of logic, mathematics, or philosophy itself. Imperceptible entities, untenable claims, unverifable assertions, mysticism, occultism, gnosticism, esotericism, and authoritarian dogma have neither credibility nor merit.

theological rationalism Human reason is the sole guide to all attainable religious truth.

Contrast this with Judeo-Christian personified absolute good (Jehovah/Trinity) versus personified absolute evil (Satan). Or with the Chinese (Taoism and Confucianism) yin and yang, yin being negative, dark and feminine, and yang being positive, bright and masculine.
